Titano was a mutated chimp used by Gorilla Grodd.
History
Titano once was a normal chimpanzee in the zoology section of S.T.A.R. Labs. They were preparing him for a space flight, and whenever he was distressed during training, Harleen Quinzel was there to calm him down. She developed a bond with him, and every night she would sing him to sleep. While in space, his ship crashed into a Kryptonite meteor and genetically altered him. Titano grew in size and gained the ability to shoot Kryptonite radiation throw his eyes.
For years, no one knew what happened to him after the accident until Gorilla Grodd's latest plan. Instead of using his army, like usual, he mind-controlled Titano to rampage through Metropolis. It attracted the attention of Superman and Stargirl, who were trying their best to defeat Grodd without hurting Titano. Harley Quinn used the chaos to her advantage to rob some stores, but she was grabbed by Titano during the confusion. She recognized him and attempted to sing him her special song, but Grodd commanded Titano to dispose her. After a long battle, Grodd was finally separated from Titano and arrested. However, the police was authorized to use lethal force against Titano and tried to gun him down with helicopters. Afraid for his life, Titano grabbed Harley and climbed the Daily Planet. Fortunately, Superman stopped them from killing Titano while Stargirl calmed him down by singing Harley's special song.[1]
