Titans: Beast World: Waller Rising #1 is a one-shot with a cover date of February, 2024. It was published on December 5, 2023.
Synopsis for "The Kingdom: A Tale from Beast World"
Archie Waller is in an ambulance, desperately trying to save the life of a man being chased by Black Mask's henchmen. His colleague is in a panic. Meanwhile, Amanda Waller telepathically contacts her nephew, asking for his help. She instructs him to find Doctor Hate, who has disappeared with the Phantom Zone projector. Despite his reluctance, Archie agrees, dons his Deadeye costume, and sets off.
In the Phantom Zone, Val-Zod and Red Tornado Lois from Earth-2 are drifting aimlessly when Doctor Hate appears. He needs Val-Zod and kidnaps him, leaving Lois alone. Doctor Hate then retrieves a bomb that Black Manta and Gallous stole from Waller for him. Manta is waiting for his payment, but instead, he is defeated, while his allies are taken by creatures born of Doctor Hate's dark power.
Deadeye discovers a package from Waller containing an orichalcum stone, which is meant to block Doctor Hate’s access to the Kingdom—a parallel dimension from which he draws his energy. Doctor Hate’s ultimate goal is to bring the Lord of Chaos to Earth. Waller wants to prevent this and regain control over Hate.
Doctor Hate begins a ritual, summoning chaos creatures across the world: one attacks Nubia, Queen of the Amazons; another targets Doctor Mist; and yet another assaults Freedom Beast. David Zavimbe (Batwing) and Vixen pursue Manta but are also attacked by one of Hate’s creatures. After dispatching it, they find Manta and his men, all knocked out. Batwing finds Manta’s helmet, but Manta himself has vanished. Batwing notices that spores from Beast Boy are present in the area as well.
Manta reappears and attacks Vixen, but she defends herself and knocks him out. Forced to work together, Manta explains that Doctor Hate is connected to an interdimensional plane called the Kingdom. Trapped in the Kingdom, Val-Zod meets Gallous and realizes that the place is dying, with many people arriving in the dimension. Val-Zod resolves to gather everyone and escape.
In Tinasha, Deadeye finds Doctor Hate’s tower and enters it. In agreement with Waller, he allows himself to be "defeated" by Hate to be projected into the Kingdom. Meanwhile, Vixen, Batwing, and Manta search for Doctor Hate. Vixen realizes that the incident with Beast Boy, who is connected to the Red just like she is, has weakened the boundary between the real world and the Kingdom. Doctor Hate intends to exploit this to destroy the Kingdom and unleash chaos on Earth. Vixen focuses and manages to teleport into the Kingdom. She joins the others, who now understand that the Kingdom is a sacred place that must be protected.
With the combined powers of Deadeye and Vixen, the others are sent back to Earth. However, Deadeye remains behind. Vixen questions him but realizes that it's Waller's order. He is tasked with severing the Kingdom’s connection to the real world, believing that the Green and the Red will survive without this place.
In the real world, Doctor Hate loses control of the Kingdom’s creatures and is attacked by the escaping heroes on one side and Black Manta and Batwing on the other. Cornered, Hate makes a last-ditch effort, activating the dark power he had implanted in Manta earlier. Manta transforms into a giant creature—one of Beast Boy's spores.
Doctor Hate reappears in the Kingdom. Vixen convinces Deadeye to use his psychic powers to block Hate from the Kingdom without destroying its connection to the Green or the Red. Deadeye thanks her and, despite his fears, complies. Meanwhile, Val-Zod battles the transformed Manta. Encouraged by Batwing to use his connection to the Kingdom to avoid being infected by Beast Boy’s spore, Val-Zod tears the spore out of Black Manta, saving him.
Vixen and Deadeye emerge from the Kingdom victorious. Doctor Hate is once again a captive of Waller. After several hours, Deadeye finally contacts Waller, but she remains as unyielding as ever, much to his displeasure. He confides in Vixen that he suspects Waller is connected to the incident with Beast Boy. Vixen and Batwing had their suspicions as well. She invites Deadeye to join the new group of heroes they are forming in Ethiopia. Val-Zod has gone to retrieve Lois from the Phantom Zone but is also involved. The group will be called "The Network."
