Synopsis for "Titans: Beast World, Part 1"
Brother Eternity preaches the good word on television while members of his church land on Titan, one of Saturn's moons. He calls them the Forevernauts. Upon their arrival, they discover an ancient temple. At that moment, Brother Eternity begins speaking in Tamaranean, the ancient language of Starfire's people. She recognizes it and urgently alerts her fellow Titans: Nightwing, Donna Troy, Cyborg, Wally West, Beast Boy, and Raven.
As the Forevernauts hear the words of their preacher, the moon starts to tremble around them. They call out for help, only for their preacher to declare that he is not Brother Eternity. The Titans quickly spring into action, with Cyborg creating a Boom Tube to travel to Titan's moon. Unfortunately, they arrive too late; the Forevernauts are already frozen. Raven listens to the strange pulsations emanating from the moon and recognizes them as a heartbeat. The moon begins to crack, and Starfire recalls a story: the moon is actually a prison, one holding a Conqueror.
The Tamaranean archives reveal that this Conqueror, now emerging violently from the moon, is called the Necrostar, a creature that cannot be reasoned with. The Titans summon all the heroes of Earth, explaining that this threat was stopped in the past with the help of Starro. Using his telescopic vision, Superman confirms that the Necrostar is rapidly approaching Earth and will arrive within an hour. Batman wants to act quickly and bring in Starro, but Beast Boy proposes an alternative plan. He asks his team and the other heroes to buy him some time.
Cyborg and Beast Boy head to the ocean while everyone else battles the Necrostar’s drones. Beast Boy needs to transform; he begins by turning into a whale. With Raven’s moral and psychic support, he painfully and with much struggle transforms into a massive creature but loses some control in the process. Meanwhile, the Necrostar gains the upper hand against the heroes and manages to infect Shazam, who then battles Wonder Woman.
Suddenly, a green star arrives, freeing Shazam from the Necrostar’s influence. Beast Boy has transformed himself into Starro to fight the creature. As his massive form confronts the enemy, he sends out miniature drones of himself to free everyone on Earth infected by the Necrostar. He asks Cyborg for help in creating a giant Boom Tube to hurl the Necrostar into the Boomerang Nebula, the coldest place in the universe. The Necrostar, pushed by Garro (Gar, also known as Beast Boy, now transformed into Starro), begins to freeze as it passes through the Boom Tube. When the portal closes, Beast Boy loses a limb, but the world is saved.
As he turns to celebrate his victory with Cyborg, he finds his friend unconscious, with a certain Doctor Hate standing before him. Using his magical powers, Doctor Hate weakens Gar, causing him to lose control of his mind. Garfield struggles but cannot resist, especially since Raven is no longer there to assist him. Doctor Hate finishes his grim work, saying that Amanda Waller thanks him and bids him farewell.
In Blüdhaven, Raven is deeply worried; she can no longer feel Gar and knows he is lost. She begins to cry as the shadow of "The Beast," Garro, looms over the world. Spores from Garro are released across the globe, infecting Black Adam and transforming him into a lion-man.
