Notes
- This episode provides the first full insight into the Post-Crisis Arrowverse Multiverse, following its rebirth in the epilogue of DC's Legends of Tomorrow episode, "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Five".
- It is confirmed that the events of the Harley Quinn show, Richard Donner's Superman movies, Tim Burton's Batman movies,[1][2] the Joker movies[1][2] and the DC Extended Universe movies take all place into different Post-Crisis realities.
- This episode also implies that the Pre-Crisis continuities of Earth-9, Earth-66, Earth-89 and Earth-167, which were previously featured and erased in the Supergirl episode, "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One", and the Batwoman episode, "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Two", are respectively replaced after the Crisis by the events shown in Titans, Batman (1966), Tim Burton's Batman movies and Smallville.
- This also suggests (and eventually confirmed in the DC Extended Universe movie, The Flash) that all the DC movies, tv shows and several animated series are set on Post-Crisis realities.
- The DC Extended Universe being part of the Post-Crisis Multiverse was previously implied in the Arrow episode, "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Four", where the Flash of Pre-Crisis Earth-1 and the Flash of Post-Crisis Earth-1 met in the dying Speed Force.
- As the DC Extended Universe timeline has not been reset yet, this episode takes place before the events of The Flash movie.
- The Red is confirmed to be a unique extradimensional energy field, like the Speed Force, which exists across all space and time in the Multiverse.
Trivia
- During Garfield Logan's Multiverse journey, many voice cameos from past DC TV shows and movies are heard, including:
- Harley Quinn saying "Party's over, you pieces of shit.", from the beginning of Harley Quinn series premiere, "Til Death Do Us Part";
- Doctor Fate/Kent Nelson telling Clark Kent, "Your fate is utterly binding.", from the Smallville episode, "Absolute Justice, Part I";
- Jonathan Kent telling Clark Kent, "There's one thing I do know, son, and that is you are here for a reason." from the 1978 movie Superman;
- The laughters of Cesar Romero's Joker, Joaquin Phoenix's Joker/Arthur Fleck and Jack Nicholson's Joker/Jack Napier, respectively from the 1966 Batman tv show and the movies, Joker and Batman (1989).
- Teen Titans Go! is a tv show in the Arrowverse Multiverse. It was previously shown that the series is set on a reality from a different Multiverse.
- The DC writer, Grant Morrison, also cameos as themselves during Garfield Logan's Multiversal journey. This is a reference to them creating The Red in Animal Man #1.
- Morrison says "I can see you" to Garfield Logan which is a homage to the events of Animal Man #25–26.
- The Donnerverse being part of the Multiverse was originally implied in Crisis on Infinite Earths Giant #1 where its Pre-Crisis Lex Luthor was featured among the Council of Luthors.
- Shazam's cameo is taken from the 2019 Shazam! movie.
- Freedom Beast refers to Garfield Logan as the "changeling" which is a nod to his comic book identity, Changeling.
