Titans (Volume 2) #14 is an issue of the series Titans (Volume 2) with a cover date of August, 2009. It was published on June 10, 2009.

Synopsis for "Disconnected"

Beast Boy joins Cyborg in a virtual reality simulation to upgrade the electrical systems at Titans Compound. Gar thinks Vic spends too much time around computers and needs to go on a date. Vic reminds him that most women are not interested in men who are living cyborgs. Gar counters by handing him a business card for Metamatch Dating Service -- a business that caters to super-heroes who want to date normal, non-powered humans. Vic scoffs at the gesture and continues with his work.

Later, Vic goes to visit his one-time girlfriend Sarah Simms at the West Side School for the Handicapped. He tells her how the other Titans are taking some well-deserved R&R, leaving him to analyze his place in their lives. Sarah reminds him that the Titans cannot fill every role in his life.

Vic leaves and walks through the streets of Harlem musing over his own loneliness. He comes upon a building identified as the First Church of Anti-Technocracy. Inside, his old nemesis Ron Evers leads a congregation preaching of the evils of modern technology. When Vic confronts him, Evers tells him that he has reformed and that their last battle together literally saved his soul. He recommends that Vic should let go of his dependency on high-tech components.

Cyborg leaves in response to an S.O.S. call from S.T.A.R. Labs. Doctor Caldwell informs him how a former project lead named Virgil Adams has taken control of their state-of-the-art Nano-suit and is now using it to take hostages. Cyborg fights against Adams (who calls himself Nano) and the two try to hack each other's operating systems. Vic figures out Adams' password and shuts down the suit.

Later, he takes Gar's suggestion and calls the Metamatch Dating Service. He meets a young scientist named Tamara Belson who, like Vic, is physically handicapped.
