History
Notes
- Daka was portrayed by J. Carrol Naish.
Trivia
- Some of the early posters for the serial, which show Batman punching his arch-nemesis, suggest that Daka's role was originally written for The Joker. The character's costume and makeup as well as his hideout being in a carnival, are perfectly suited to The Joker. It's assumed that the change was made in order to make a World War II relevant story, as the Allied war effort was in a precarious position, and Hollywood had jumped on the bandwagon of patriotism.
