Todd McFarlane (b. March 16, 1961) is a comic book artist and writer.

Professional History

Todd McFarlane is a Canadian artist, writer, designer and entrepreneur. He is best known in the comic book industry for his contributions to the Spider-Man franchise for Marvel Comics and his own company, Image Comics, the success of which is largely placed on MacFarlane's creation, Spawn. McFarlane worked for DC Comics in the late 80s on series like Infinity Inc. and Detective Comics.

Personal History

McFarlane graduated from Sir Winston Churchill High School and in the early 1980s, McFarlane attended Eastern Washington University on a baseball scholarship, where he studied graphic art. Todd is currently living in Arizona with his wife, with whom he had three kids.

  • Is co-owner of National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers.
  • Purchased home run baseballs from the 1998 Mark McGwire-Sammy Sosa race, including McGwire's $3 million #70 ball.
