Tolos was an ancient entity trapped in Kandor II.

History

Tolos was claimed to be the figure responsible for imprisoning the residents of the bottle city of Kandor II. The entity itself was trapped within the bottled city and attempted to possess Superman (Clark Kent) to escape it and conquer the earth. It was defeated by being trapped in the phase barrier around the city.^[1]

- Energy Absorption: As an energy being Tolos feeds on energy itself.
- Energy Projection: Tolos is an energy being that attacks by throwing itself or parts of its power through its victims.
- Phasing: Tolos can phase through solid objects like a door or wall but can't get past the phase barrier around Kandor II.
- Possession: Tolos has proven itself capable of possessing various sentient lifeforms including Kryptonians.^[1]
