Synopsis for "Top 10"
Toybox takes the subway to work on a world where everyone has superpowers. Once she arrives at the station she takes a cab to the precinct house on Pike Street. The cab driver is blind. Slinger arrives at the precinct house for her first day on the job as a police officer. She sits in on the early morning debriefing and is assigned a partner, Jeff Smax. Smax has a reputation for being cold at the precinct and he shows Slinger that it is a well earned reputation. On patrol with Smax, she learns that his last partner was shot to death and found by his eight-year old daughter.
There's been a homicide in TinTown and Smax and Slinger rush to the scene to work crowd control. Slinger finds I.D. for the body and a high tech saddle on the crime scene. While on the scene she meets Detective Synaesthesia, who she learns used to date Smax. Smax and Slinger return to the station house to find that Dust Devil and Shock-Headed Peter have brought in some prostitutes. Irma Geddon and Girl One have brought in Ernesto Gograh. Slinger has lunch with Girl One and Irma Geddon and while they are eating, Hyperdog comes over and tells them that they got a lead on the TinTown homicide and that all three of the ladies are needed in the squad room.
A phone number found on the dead body in TinTown was traced to a warehouse that is used to manufacture drugs. The police in Precinct 10 are sent to the warehouse to bust whoever is there. After forcing their way into the warehouse, Slinger goes downstairs and detains Professor Gromolko. Gromolko is taken to an interrogation room back at the precinct house. When telepath Spaceman enters the room and begins reading Gromolko's mind, Gromoko grabs Duane's gun and shoots himself.
Slinger knocks off work and has a beer with Jack Phantom. She learns that Jack is gay and politely tells her that she isn't interested. Then she goes home, where she lives with her father.
