Axel Walker stole the boots from James Jesee and used them in his criminal activities.

One time in Gotham City, Walker was creating troubles as Trickster and soon Robin started chasing him. Trickster used his boots to try and escape from Robin, but the latter used the Batrope to prevent Trickster from escaping.
