Synopsis for "Dead and Burnt to Ash"
Morgaine le Fey has turned most of Europe into a dead wasteland while forming a barrier around it. Justice Society International identifies the energy as being Creation Energy similar to that of the Big Bang but sterile. As they question Firestorm the Flash and Gangbuster (who no one recognizes) are brought in. Carter Hall is given the scroll and eventually open it.
Meanwhile Edward Nashton steps in and reminds Morgaine le Fey they they still need a third person to become what they originally planned to be.
Carter Hall realizes he is Khufu and that the claims of Firestorm about the world being wrong are correct. he is also given the youth and strength to help fix things.
Alfred gets into Lois Lane's office with "the single biggest story this world has ever seen".

Krona's quest to awaken planetary conciseness is not going well as he leaves one dead world after another in his wake. John Stewart saves Kanjar Ro by taking on Despero's fleet and eventually Despero himself. Krona captures John Stewart and to spare himself Kanjar Ro reveals the location of the Crime Syndicate.
