Tront was a planet under the protection of the Guardians of the Universe and the Green Lantern Corps.
History
A native Trontian named Eddore became a national hero when he defeated a Trontian dictator who sought to make all Trontians part of a communal consciousness. As such, Eddore's valor was recognized by the Guardians and he became a member of the Corps.
A short time later, Eddore rebelled against the authority of the Guardians and returned to Tront. Like the dictator that he once defeated, Eddore used the power of his Green Lantern Globe to force hundreds of Trontians to merge with him into a single, powerful entity. Hal Jordan came to Tront and ultimately defeated Eddore.
