Troy Nixey is a Canadian comic book artist. He began his career in 1992 working for Slave Labor on the title Bill the Clown. He has worked for publishers like Caliber Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Image Comics, Oni Press among others. His first published work for DC Comics was in 2000 on the title Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham. Later he worked on titles like Batman: Gotham Knight, Harley Quinn, Detective Comics, Batman, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight and many more.
Troy worked on a short film that caught filmaker Guillermo del Toro's attention and Nixey was called to direct the 2011 movie Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.
