Typhoeus, the Father of Monsters, is the son of Gaia and brother of the Titans, Cyclopes and Hecatonchires.
History
He was buried in a cave under the Mount Etna, in Italy, after he was trapped by Zeus in the war with the Titans.[1]
Typhoeus was set free by Wonder Woman because of an agreement with Hecate, but not before having a hard battle with her former mentor Ares, who wanted to kill the dragon and take him as a trophy to the Gods. Typhoeus was then taken to Hecate in the Temple of Gaia on Mount Olympus.[1]
His story has not been well established, as some say he was born of Gaia, the world, and Tartarus, the abyss, or of Hera alone, perhaps of the Egyptian gods Geb, the earth, and Nut, the sky, being another name for the god Set.[2]
