The Untouchables are a trio of criminals who were obsessive of role-playing games.
History
Originally, they dressed as spacemen based on science-fiction movies of the 1950's. One of the members of the gang, an ingenious scientist, discovered a means of using solar radiation to make the group immaterial. Adopting the name The Intangibles, the trio embarked on a brief crime spree before being apprehended.
Subsequently, the Intangibles adopted new guises based on famous criminals of the 1920's, in particular John Dillinger, Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker. The threesome now called themselves the Untouchables, after the famous television series. The Untouchables carried out a scheme to extory money from rich film patrons. This time the gang was thwarted by Looker of the Outsiders.[1][2]
The Untouchables later staged a series of robberies in Washington, D.C. As a result they attracted the attention of D.C.'s local superheroes, Hawk and Dove, who captured all three of them. At the time of their capture, the Untouchables were seriously considering moving out west and adopting the name of "the Hole-in-the-Wall-Gang." They also toyed with the notion of dressing as Old West desperadoes and playing the roles of Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid, and Etta Place.[3][4]
