Digital Comics

Hello, anyone and everyone. Been a while. Hope you're not to upset about that. Or that I'm back. Oh, well, never mind. Today, I found out a little bit about digital comics. A very little bit. they look like a really good idea. Apart from anything else, there's Robin Vol 3, which I don't think has been collected in graphic novel form yet. But I don't really understand the format for reading them. It looks like it's just on your computer or laptop, or on an Apple device with the appropriate app. Any one know if you can download them onto ebook readers? If so, please comment. If not but you know something else about digital comics, you can comment about that. If you just want to get the badge, at least I'll know someone's reading this. Just d…

Merry Christmas Everyone

Merry Christmas! I hope you all got what you wanted, or if you haven't uwrapped them yet, will get everything you want. I got Batman: Year One and Batman: R.I.P. and had them both finished by lunch. Sigh. They were fabulous. Now I've been told I have to leave Infinite Crisis issues 1-7 for some other day. Can't wait. Any way, I hope you all have a very lovely day. Gwenshugal

Keeping track

I've been trying to keep track of when the DC New 52 are released as graphic novels. So far, I've found the following: Batman Vol 1: Court of Owls (Batman 1-6, hb) March '12, Justice League Vol 1: Origin (Justice League 1-6, hb) May '12, Green Lantern Vol 1: Sinestro (Green Lantern 1-6, hb) May '12, Wonder Woman Vol 1: Blood (Wonder Woman 1-6, hb) May '12. Of course, there may be more coming around that time, but those are the ones listed on the DC site. It does seem curious that only four have been announced so far, and one is two months before the other three. And neither Superman comic has been collected yet. I suppose those storylines might be continuing for longer, but it's still odd. Oh, well. At least we know they're starting. Gwenshug…

What I read today

Today I read Albion by Alan Moore and co. What a strange book. I'm still not entirely sure what it was about. The more I think about it, the more confused I get. I'm sure it's a fantastic bit of writing and artistry, but it's just a bit weird. Oh well. There were some British Silver Age stories in the back, though, and those were surprisingly good. Anyone else read this story? I'd love to here what you thought of it. Gwenshugal.

What really irritates me

I think I must be surrounded by philistiines. Yesterday, one of my classes was being covered by another teacher, and one of the boys decided to make a cape out of file paper and sellotape. That was okay, other than being stupid. What really irritated me was that he then tried to drawn Superman's "S" on the back, and was no where near right. Then he had a huff when I pointed it out. So I drew him a new version. That kind of worked, except that he refused to take up a bet someone else lay down to walk down the corridor in his new cape, and instead threw it in the bin. Oh, well. He said it was my fault he even made the cape, though. Apparently I inspired him. Just because I keep drawing bats on the whiteboard!
