Karate Kid is a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes.
History
Val Armorr is a master of every martial art being practiced across the galaxy, but karate seems to really excite most of his teammates, and he's ok with that. He also considers the martial arts one of the purest forms of galactic cultural connection. That and music. As part of his Legion duties, he educates and introduces the arts to other planets and cultures.[1]
