History

The Valkyries chose the mightiest of warriors in the Norse world to reside there after their death. They trained under Odin until Ragnarok came. It is one of three afterworlds, the others being Folkvangr (where the bottom half of warriors went) and Hel (where those who didn't die in battle went).[1]

Animals that died protecting their kin are also welcomed into Valhalla.[2]
