Vari Dzerchenko is Ariana Dzerchenko's paternal uncle.

History

After Vari's brother was murdered he took in his niece Ariana. Ariana briefly dated Tim Drake and on one occasion when Vari came home from church after Ariana had dressed skimpily and propositioned Tim for sex, which Tim declined, Vari tried to kill Tim. After Tim escaped he called Jack Drake to complain about Tim supposedly debauching Ariana and then running away and Jack grounded Tim as he refused to listen to a word Tim had to say about what had actually occurred.
