Velma Vanton was a Wonder Woman look-alike who was tricked into pretending to be Wonder Woman to aid some criminals carry out their crimes under the impression that she was working for Military Intelligence.
History
Velma's likeness to the Amazon was spotted by Truff who convinced her there was no real Wonder Woman, and the whole charade was carried out by many similar looking woman working for the military. He then recruits her as one of the Wonder Women and has her help him disarm and restrain some guards he claims are gangsters posing as guards. His plot falls apart when they run into the real Wonder Woman on their way to the United States to carry out another of his thefts. Velma's face is injured in the altercation, causing her to no longer be a double to Wonder Woman.
