Synopsis for "In the Begining Beginning"
After countless millennia, the Jejune Realm is being foreclosed and all lesser gods are being evicted to other realms and planes of existence. After waiting in line 27 years due to a clerical error, Vext (patron deity of mishap and misfortune), is assigned to Earth. His new apartment in Delta City allows him to live life like the humans do but he is restricted from deliberately influencing human affairs, trying to dominate the globe, or becoming a superhero.
In the Amazon Rainforest, rogue archeologist Aaron Caldwell and his assistants Louisa and Samantha exterminate a small village to get an idols of Moxactyl, patron deity of interminable procrastination and Qrttglbrngrltch the Nigh Unpronounceable, patron deity of inadvertent Armageddon. His quest is to find these artifacts of several minor deities and extract their power.
Meanwhile, Vext arrives at an apartment building and is greeted by his new neighbor Colleen McBride and Mr. Danforth, the geriatric and almost deaf superintendent.
Caldwell returns to the United States and attempts to invoke the mystical powers of his new idols but is tricked into singing a novelty song by Lou and Sam.
Superman and Zauriel visit Vext to issue a warning that the JLA will be ensuring that his intentions are noble and protecting humanity from any malfeasance. Colleen mistakes them for comic book enthusiasts before she sees the duo flying outside the window and excitedly asks Vext how he knows the superheroes. Due to a misunderstanding of decorum, he tells her to "butt out" and she leaves angrily.
