Synopsis for "Father's Day, Part II"
As Carl Linnaker flees for the mountains with Jodie in tow, Vigilante and Fever scramble for further leads. The neighborhood youths are naturally hostile to Vigilante, but one - a regular client of Louise's - is shocked to hear what Linnaker has done, and gives a description of Linnaker's car.
Still wary of Fever, Vigilante tries to pursue Linnaker by himself, only to find his motorcycle stripped apart by thieves. This forces him to share a car with Fever, who (after threatening to drive off without him) continues to mock his conservative outlook even as he rebukes her lawless attitude. Eventually, their arguments coalesce into a joke that inadvertently reminds Fever of Louise's death, bringing her to tears while Vigilante tries to console her.
Meanwhile, Linnaker grows furious with Jodie's fear of him, and tries to reassert his authority by robbing a gun store. By pure chance, this detour leads his car onto the same street as Fever's, allowing Vigilante to shoot out Linnaker's tires. Defiant, Linnaker takes Jodie on foot and flees into a nearby refinery.
Putting Fever out of mind, Vigilante runs after and quickly overtakes Linnaker. While a petrified Jodie watches, the men beat each other to a pulp; Linnaker eventually smashes the lenses on Vigilante's mask with one of his stolen guns, but flinches upon seeing Adrian Chase's face. Seizing the advantage, Vigilante kicks the gun aside, only for Jodie to impulsively grab it and shoot him.
As a dumbfounded Vigilante sinks to his knees, Linnaker gloats over Jodie's innate loyalty to her blood, and draws another gun. Instants before he can fire, however, Fever forces her car into the refinery and runs him down. Now completely hysterical, Jodie begins to train her gun on Fever, only for Vigilante to gently wrest it away.
Seeing Vigilante and Jodie occupied, Fever pins the barely-conscious Linnaker under the front wheels of her car and spins them in place, shredding him to a bloody pulp. To her surprise, Jodie immediately begins crying over her father's remains, reviling Fever as a murderer; unable to comfort the child, Fever and Vigilante bring Jodie to the closest emergency room, which finds her physically healthy but near-amnesiac from shock.
Shortly after, Fever learns that she has been deemed a person of interest in Louise's murder; this, along with her lingering guilt over killing Linnaker, convinces her to flee the state. Leaving her on semi-amicable terms, Vigilante returns home to mend his many wounds and review a long document he had found in Linnaker's coat: a prison letter, never sent, detailing Linnaker's twisted "love" for his daughter, rage at society's hypocrisies, and reflections on the concept of judgment itself.
