Father Vincent Strasbourg III is a Catholic priest and an undercover agent of the Stadtgeist known as Moth-er.

History

Vincent Strasbourg III was supposedly a patient at Arkham Asylum's Children's Wing at around the same time as Bruce Wayne, but appears significantly older than him. He is the parish priest of the church that Jim Gordon is a member of.

One of the Stadtgeist's operatives, a pale-skinned woman, went rogue and began murdering Quinton's former patients. She showed up to Mass at Strasbourg's church and he quickly left, leaving the altar boy to complete the prayers. Later, someone else from the Stadtgeist came to the church and told him that the pale woman had murdered The Scribe, another of Quinton's ex-patients. He told the messenger that the pale woman had come to the church, but that he would handle it.

That night Gordon came to Strasbourg's home, as he was investigating the murders and was warning all Quinton's former patients, which included Strasbourg. Gordon asked him how he could have been Quinton's patient when he was visibly too old and Strasbourg denied knowing who Quinton was. He went into the kitchen, claiming that he needed an aspirin, and changed into Moth-er. He attacked Gordon and easily overpowered the seemingly younger and fitter man. Just as he was about to kill Gordon, the pale woman burst in and stabbed him in the back. He told her that she couldn't stop "the bells" and escaped out of the window.
