Professional History

Viola Davis is an award-winning American actress and producer known for her emotionally intense performances in comedy and drama films and television. Among her most well known roles are as Mrs. Miller in Doubt, Aibileen Clark in The Help, Annalise Keating on How to Get Away with Murder, and Ma Rainey in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.

In 2016, Davis came to DC Studios to portray Amanda Waller in the DC Extended Universe, appearing in the films Suicide Squad, The Suicide Squad, and Black Adam, and the first season of Peacemaker. Davis was one of the few DCEU actors to reprise her role when James Gunn rebooted it into the new DC Universe, seeing how the events of The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker remained canon. She is set to return as this new iteration of Waller in the DCU TV shows Creature Commandos and Waller, the latter of which she is producing.
