Vortex formerly known as Zebra-Man was an enemy of Batman who was at an unknown point in time, locked in Arkham Asylum.
History
Vortex briefly broke out of Arkham with the help of Catwoman, but she soon realized that he was crazy, so she defeated him and returned him back to Arkham. He later broke out of Arkham again when supervillains took over the world and escaped to Zambia in order to evade Batman.
In Zambia, he was playing a card game with Fiddler, Shrike, and Psych. When Psych admitted he was cheating, they held him at gunpoint, only to be torn apart by projections of the people they had murdered over the years.[1]
Notes
- Zebra-Man was created by Bill Finger and Sheldon Moldoff, first appearing in Detective Comics #275. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Zebra-Man first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Batman: The Dark Knight (Volume 2) #1 by Paul Jenkins and David Finch.
