Vril Dox, is the villain known as Brainiac, one of the worst enemies of Superman and a member of the Legion of Doom.

History

In the past, he shrank the Kryptonian city of Kandor. Brainiac also owns a pet alien monkey named Koko.

As part of a ploy to bring the Justice League down, Brainiac dressed himself up as a robed ghost. Unaware that he was facing his old enemy, Superman charged head-on and was easily shrunk and trapped in a reinforced-glass bottle. Brainiac quickly moved on the remainder Leaguers, who were defeated and emprisoned one after the other. Nonetheless, the Justice League was released by Mystery, Inc. and proceeded to beat the Legion of Doom down.

Later, Brainiac allied himself with other three Superman villains to bring the Man of Steel down, but he and his allies were also defeated.

This version of Brainiac first appeared in Scooby-Doo! Team-Up #6 by Sholly Fisch and Dario Brizuela and is an adaptation from the original Brainiac created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino which first appeared in Action Comics #242.
