Synopsis for "We Are Jokers, Part Five"
Dax's mom finds his grappling guns, which she mistakes for real guns. During the conversation, it is revealed that his last name is Chill and implied that his father may be Joe Chill.
At the school, Smiley and the Jokerz terrorize the students with guns of their own. Duke wants to confront them, but Riko tells him this is suicidal and drags him into the girls' bathroom so they can strategize in relative safety. After Riko distributes the tasers and mace she keeps in her backpack to some girls hiding there, a (male) Joker bursts in. However, while he's distracted by trying to shoot Duke and Riko, one of the other girls gets behind him and tases him. Meanwhile, Izzy rushes to school, having overslept, but Dax texts her to warn her about the situation.
Smiley takes the principal and teachers upstairs to the administrative offices, which Riko notes will be an easier location to defend against the cops once they arrive. As news of the situation spreads across social media, Alfred watches from a screen in the Batcave, while Dax tries to find a way into the school. He finds is way to the top of a nearby building, and while he's working up the courage to swing over to school roof, Izzy arrives.
The police show up and threaten to send SWAT teams into the building if the Jokerz don't surrender. Smiley in turn threatens to start killing hostages if the police enter. Alfred messages the ex-Robins via the Nest app, telling them to let the police handle things rather than endangering their fellow students by taking action themselves.
Dre, who has been disguised as a Joker this whole time, knocks out one of the Jokers who is holding students hostage in the gym. This distracts the other guards enough for the captives to swarm them and take their guns. He then heads upstairs, where he joins up with Duke and Riko.
Seeing that the police are undeterred by his threats, Smiley tells his minions to kill the teachers, remove their Joker makeup, and blend in with the students to escape. Before he can, Duke, Riko, and Dre charge into the office and take most of them down. Smiley points a gun at Duke, but before he can fire, Dax and Izzy swing in through the window and take him down. The SWAT team arrives shortly afterward, but the principal is able to convince them not to arrest the young heroes.
Afterward, they meet up with a disguised Alfred, who is annoyed that they disregarded him. They thank him for his help, but explain that it's time they do things their own way, whatever that turns out to be.
