He's not a werewolf, okay? He's a weasel! He's harmless... I mean, he's not harmless, he's killed twenty-seven children, but, y'know, we got him to... I think he's agreed to do this.
The Weasel is an animalistic weasel-like humanoid whose origins are a mystery. He was incarcerated in Belle Reve after he was accused of murdering twenty-seven children, and was later utilized by A.R.G.U.S. for covert ops missions as part of the Suicide Squad.
History
Early life and capture
It is unknown where the Weasel came from, or even exactly what he is, though some have speculated him to be a werewolf. He roamed free as a scavenger in the United States for years, until he was arrested and charged with the murder of 27 children, and was detained in the Belle Reve Correctional Center in Louisiana. A.R.G.U.S. director Amanda Waller saw him as useful and drafted him into the Suicide Squad through her Task Force X program, through which he could complete black ops missions in exchange for a shorter prison sentence.[1]
Project Starfish
Weasel and the Suicide Squad heading to Corto Maltese
In 2021,[2] Weasel was sent with the Suicide Squad on a mission to Corto Maltese to destroy evidence of the U.S. government's involvement in Project Starfish. His team was lead by Colonel Rick Flag, and consisted of Harley Quinn, Savant, and more. Unbeknownst to the team, however, they were merely Waller's distraction for the Corto Maltesean Army so that a second strike team could invade without hindrance and complete the mission unobstructed.
When the Squad arrived near enough to Corto Maltese in an Osprey, they were dropped into the sea to swim over to the shores. Unfortunately, the Weasel was unable to swim and passed out from inhaling water while thrashing around. He was pulled ashore by Savant, who declared him dead, and was left on the shore as all of his teammates, save for Harley and Flag, were killed by the Maltese Army in a brutal ambush.
Some time later, Weasel's system managed to expel the water from his lungs, and he woke up before running off confused into the Corto Maltesean jungle, never to be seen again.[1]
