Notes

  • Creature Commandos:
    • Elliot "Lucky" Taylor makes his second suicide attempt in this issue. The prior attempt was in Weird War Tales #107, when he cut his own throat. This time he straddles a 1000-pound bomb and drops from a B-17, but changes his mind partway down, and parachutes to safety.
    • Narration names General Guderian as commanding the mechanized counterattack in France. This story was set on Earth-One and later retconned to New Earth; in our own world's history, Heinz Guderian was elsewhere at that time.
    • Estimated date of "Late 1944" is based on Paris having already been liberated, but no mention of the Battle of the Bulge.
  • No Time For Peace: Second story's credits list "Len Wein, Editor" but indicia credits only Julius Schwartz and E. Nelson Bridwell.
  • "Diary Of -- ?": Third story's credits list "Mike W. Barr, Editor" but this is also not reflected in the issue's indicia.
