Synopsis for "Homecoming, Part Six: Ending Note"
The Liberty Snots are in the middle of their concert as Sheriff Lindo waits for Derek to show up. She remembers how Derek was shocked when she told him she was pregnant. He thought she had planned this out to ruin him so he decides to drown her in the lake. Mayor Fury and Pink Bunny arrive in time to save her but just barely. She wakes up in a hospital with Mr. Articulate by her side. His kind words keep her going and it actually leads her to go to him when she recovers and they spend an intimate evening together.
That thought brings Sheriff Lindo back to the concert where she wonders how Mr. Articulate is still alive. Apparently, Sheriff Lindo has set something in motion to defend against Derek. She's asked Salabal to contact some Indian fire gods to help. Meanwhile, Mayor Fury has acquired some sort of weapon to use against Derek. But Collette Pearson suddenly catches up with him and tells Fury the truth about Derek. Fury had sent his son to an I.O. research facility where they experimented on him. But one day when one of the scientists mentioned Mayor Fury and his trial he awoke and killed the staffers and destroyed the facility. Derek then found Collette and forced her to recant her testimony against Mayor Fury so he'd go free and Derek could confront him.
Fury then spots Derek and called out to him. Derek is able to take out Mayor Fury quickly and then makes his way to the concert. Elsewhere, Salabal is able to strike a deal with the god Agni. As Derek arrive at the concert, Tommy's plans goes into action as Maximum Man cries out his secret word "Hecatean", the entire town is transformed into heroes like him; costume and all. Derek is defeated and subdued. Mayor Fury step out of the crowd and armed his weapon, which is capable to "unmake" things, but he is unable to kill his son. However, Pink Bunny steps up and finishes off her son with the weapon.
As the dust settles, Sheriff Lindo wonders why Derek used his power to resurrect Mr. Articulate. Regardless of the reason, Sheriff Lindo knows she wants to be with him. She also reveals that the child Derek and her had was not killed. She actually gave him up for adoption and he's growing up a normal boy and every now and then, Sheriff Lindo drives by his house so she can get a glimpse of her son.
