Synopsis for "Enemy"
The police arrive at Vanderlyle's building to investigate the Fog's attack and death. Wesley and Dian that they have no idea who he was or why he attacked Vanderlyle, and the police leave. That night Wesley, as the Sandman, breaks into Fort Hamilton and kidnaps Colonel Breckenridge. He takes Breckenridge to an abandoned building and the colonel readily confesses to stealing the notebook, manufacturing illegal chemical weapons and having Igor Kluge killed. They hear police sirens approaching and Breckenridge expects them to arrest the Sandman and free him, but Wesley reveals that he has recorded their conversation. He departs before the police arrive and leaves the recording of the confession playing.
Meanwhile, Humphries goes to collect Vanderlyle from the hospital where he has been recovering from the attack. He takes Vanderlyle back to his penthouse, but when he turns his back Vanderlyle cracks him over the head with a candlestick, revealing that he has Wesley's notebook.
