Wesley became Tim Drake's roommate at Brentwood Academy when Tim's former roommate, Ali Ben Khadir returned to his country.
History
Wesley was sullen and rude and didn't get along with Tim at all. Luckily for Tim, Wesley was a sound sleeper and Tim was able to sneak out and continue his adventures as Robin. Later, Tim borrowed Wesley's mouthwash and discovered it was actually alcohol. Tim confronted Wesley about his problem. Following a massive binge, Wesley found Tim's Robin outfit and trashed their room. The following morning, Wesley remembered nothing about the night before. Tim was able to convince him to seek help for his addiction. The two were on much better terms when Tim left Brentwood and Wesley was continuing his alcoholism treatment.
