White Canary is an alias used by vigilante Sara Lance in the Arrowverse. Lance originally used the alias Canary, until her death and her resurrection in a Lazarus Pit. She began using the new alias, as her sister Laurel Lance had become the Black Canary.
In the regular DC Universe there is also a villain named White Canary who fights the Birds of Prey. On Earth-3 there is a similar version of the character called White Cat, a member of the Crime Syndicate of America.
White Canary was created by Gail Simone and Ed Benes, first appearing in Birds of Prey (Volume 2) #1 (2010). Sara Lance became White Canary in the DC's Legends of Tomorrow episode, Pilot, Part 1 (2016).
