Synopsis for Ibis the Invincible: "To Shrink a Giant"
A giant wasp flies along and carries away the spider, saving Ibis. He soon makes his way to the top of the table and meets the giant himself, who turns out to have a formula he uses to make Ibis slightly larger so they can talk. The giant explains he learned a magic formula from an old book, and used it to make himself and his house gigantic. When Ibis demands the formula for the sake of his friends, the indignant giant tries to use another formula to shrink him back to insignificance, but Ibis breaks it and shrinks them both. Now also helpless against the common vermin in his house, the former giant begrudgingly leads Ibis to his lab where they create a giant steam cloud of growth formula, turning everyone in it to normal size. Including Taia and the little men hiding in the basement.
That fantastic predicament seen to, Ibis uses his wand to whisk himself and Taia back to New York, where they're just in time to save a young man from his attempt to jump off a building. He explains he's the son of an attorney, who was shot by a criminal, and then blamed for his father's murder when he came to after a whack on the head. Ibis persuades Gorman to surrender himself, because at the trial he magically summons the ghost of Rex's father to point out the "witness" as the actual killer. The crook flees, and plots vengeance on Ibis.
