Synopsis for Captain Marvel: "The Haunted Halloween Hotel"
Sterling Morris has a brother, Cuthbert, whose wife Priscilla is a fearsome opinionated woman who berates him into buying an old hotel for their home. Trying to get help from Sterling, Cuthbert inadvertently gives him the idea of rigging up the old place to seem haunted to scare Priscilla out of wanting to buy it. At first Billy refuses to participate on moral grounds, then sees what Priscilla's like. He tries to hand the job of escorting her over to Captain Marvel, but a vision of the hero appears to him and refuses to have anything to do with that woman.
Unknown to the Morrises, the old hotel's been used as a hideout by a group of German spies. Chaos ensues as fake ghosts, spies, and an angry society wife collide. Things only become more shambolic as Captain Marvel continues to refuse to get involved and transforms back as quickly as possible whenever Billy calls him.
