Synopsis for Ibis the Invincible: "The Adventure of the Living Paintings"
An artist who's also a student of black magic gets a visit from fellow practitioner Trug. The artist bequeaths him a painting where the demonic entities depicted thereupon will come to life under his command. Trug plans to use this artifact to avenge himself on Ibis.
The Ibistick warns the heroic wizard that evil magic is afoot again, but a weary Taia suggests they take a break. Ibis concedes and they take a visit to an amusement park for some R&R. Trug brings his painted minions to life and sends them to the same park, where they kidnap the attractions at the freak show and take their places. However, they haven't learned the fate of those who've tried to turn the Ibistick against its master. When one borrows it and commands it to consume Ibis in fire, instead two of the demons are destroyed instead. The Headless Horseman captures Taia and flies her to the skies, but Ibis conjures Pegasus to pursue. He shows the headless phantom his skull in a mirror, which sends the ghost fleeing. Ibis then captures Trug by magically conjuring a straitjacket for him.

Notes
- The end of "The Earth's Four Corners" acts as if it's a mystery which danger was the one the dying pilot tried to warn the Marvels about. However the first showing of the Great Lady and her followers reveals they were the ones who shot him.
