Synopsis for Ibis the Invincible: "Bobo the Hobo"
An Arab attacks Ibis and Taia because she turned down his love confession, but Ibis catches his scimitar in mid-throw. This allows the attacker to seize the Ibistick, but his command to make Ibis disappear in a puff of smoke rebounds and claims him instead. A homeless man seizes the Ibistick and suddenly catches a passing train before the couple can stop him. He uses his newfound magic to marry a wealthy widow and move into her house. Quickly the butler starts plotting the transient's murder when he's made the widow's heir, but Ibis and Taia have come looking for the magic wand just as the butler sets fire to his victim's bed. He wasn't actually in it, though; the homeless man couldn't sleep on a regular bed so he had a park bench built inside the house for him to sleep on instead. The butler's arrested, but Taia notes with some amusement that the homeless man isn't going to enjoy married life to the widow very much!
