Synopsis for Captain Marvel: "The Great Indian Rope Trick"
Billy and Steamboat are at an amusement park when a thief runs past and climbs up onto the stage where a fakir's about to perform a trick with a magic rope. The thief climbs the rope and disappears, and while Captain Marvel's distracted snatching at the empty air where his enemy was, the thief climbs back down and escapes. That night he sneaks into the fakir's house and steals the magic rope. The next day Captain Marvel captures the same thief in the act and arrests him. However the thief climbs his new magic rope and disappears, walks through the wall and climbs back down the rope onto the street.
Captain Marvel meets up with the fakir, who explains how the rope works. Hearing about a jewelry store robbery over the radio, they fly there at top speed and find the thief about to escape with a haul in jewels by climbing the rope. This time Captain Marvel climbs up after him, and in the limbo the rope leads to, the good captain pummels him and takes back the jewels. The fakir breaks the spell over his magic rope, deciding it's caused too much harm. However, this strands the thief in the other world the rope led to forever.
