Synopsis for "Captain Marvel Vs. Billy Batson In the Trial of Mr. Morris"

Duke Daley, the crime boss who's running against Sterling Morris for alderman, cannily arranges to make it seem like Morris was trying to shoot him to get Morris arrested and out of the race. Daley seems to have every angle figured, though, because when Billy tries to relate what happened, it just makes the case against Morris sound tighter. When Captain Marvel confront Daley, he even has a photographer on hand, ready to take some juicy pictures of Morris' friend beating up a political rival. The day of the trial soon arrives, and during recess for lunch, Billy finds himself in a diner in a booth next to the henchmen who framed Morris. Captain Marvel delicately lifts the entire building, carries it into the courtroom, and lets the judge overhear their conversation with the criminals never noticing a thing.

Synopsis for Spy Smasher: "vs. Pie Masher"

Spy Smasher's assigned to track down a South American warlord who's currently in hiding by capturing the pilot who delivers him supplies and has the only navigation chart to his location. At the party where Spy Smasher plans to make his move, a young man proposes to his sweetheart, but stumbles and falls into a table of pies, causing her to declare she'd never marry a disgusting oaf like him. This makes him go mad with rage and declare himself the Pie Masher, dedicated to the eradication of pies just as pies eradicated his love life. When he makes to throw the pie hiding the secret chart at somebody, the spies attack him, and Spy Smasher attacks them. The pilot tries to flee, but the Pie Masher fells him with a deftly-tossed pie. After finding out that he captured an enemy of the state, his girl accepts his proposal after all, putting an end to the brief but dramatic career of Pie Masher.

Synopsis for Ibis the Invincible: "The Hands of Horror"

Violinist Keye Forbes' hands are ruined in an accident. Though he receives new hands in surgery, he'll never be able to play as well as he could before, and tries to end his life, only stopped by an uppercut from Ibis. The wizard magically enhances Forbes' hands so that he might play the way he did before, but at his next performance, there's something distinct "evil and macabre" about the music. He knocks out Ibis and flees the concert hall, and the paper the next morning carries the story of a judge's murder.

Ibis checks with the surgeon to find out whose hands were donated, and learns they were from murderer Luke Harvey. Knowing the judge who was the victim was the one who convicted Luke Harvey, Ibis can only conclude that Keye Forbes is possessed by the ghost of his donor, and out for revenge! He magically separates the spirit from his new body, and wrestles Harvey into submission. With the evil exorcised, Forbes goes on to resume his career.
