Synopsis for Ibis the Invincible: "The Fiend's Blood"
A man named Ralph comes to Ibis for help, as he's worried about something he and a playmate did as children: perform a ritual to make themselves blood brothers. The other boy grew up to become the notorious Two Gun Kane, and Ralph's worried the blood oath might cause him misfortune now that Kane's due to be executed that night. Indeed, after Kane's killed in the electric chair and Ralph falls asleep, Kane's ghost takes over his body and slips out to recover his weapons.
Having armed himself, Ralph/Kane goes to the home of the judge who sentenced him to death. Ibis catches up to him and uses a magically-conjured flame to drive the evil ghost from the innocent victim's body and sever their blood-bond.
