Synopsis for "Ibis the Invincible: The Gargoyle Menace"

Ibis and Taia visit a "Roman monastery", where according to legend its founder once fought a great battle with demonic spirits. While there, they encounter a disfigured hunchback who they're told always comes and wordlessly looks at the monastery's famous gargoyles. Ibis notices the alcove where a 13th gargoyle seems to belong is empty. Once everyone's retired for the night, the hunchback promises to restore his "brothers" to life, as the time is almost right.

In the middle of the night, Ibis catches the hunchback stealing an ancient manuscript. Although Ibis flings him about, the hunchback knocks out his opponent by flinging a rock at Ibis' head. With the words of the manuscript, the hunchback brings the gargoyles back to life. When one tries to carry off Taia, a recovered Ibis uses his wand to turn them to lifeless stone. The hunchback suffers the same fate, having somehow been one of the gargoyles himself. The now harmless statues are returned to their former perches, now with no threat of returning to menace the living.
