Synopsis for "Taking Leave, Part 1"
On the roof of Halo, Savant and Mr. Majestic discuss the fallout from the crime war and the situation on Khera. The next day in Connecticut, Jeremy, Reno, and Zannah are having lunch at a restaurant when Crusade senses they are Kherubim and attacks. Even after Majestic arrives to help, the battle is a stalemate. To protect civilians, Crusade agrees to fight Majestic elsewhere, revealing he can speak the Kheran language in the process. The others return to Halo to find reporters swarming the building. Soon, Majestic arrives, unable to defeat Crusade, so Void teleports him into space. Crusade quickly returns, and Void teleports him away again. Inside, Savant researches him and learns he has ties with Union who then appears. Crusade bursts into the building and tosses Void outside. Union is unable to talk Crusade down, and the battle resumes. Outside, Void loses her face in front of the reporters and teleports away, humiliated. Elsewhere, Defile observes media coverage of the fight and decides not to intervene. Union once again tries to calm Crusade but fails, and Crusade threatens him for siding with the WildC.A.T.s.
