Synopsis for "WildStorm Rising, Chapter 1"

In Georgetown in Washington, D.C., Stormwatch attacks the WildC.A.T.s. believing Maul is responsible for the death of their teammate, Battalion. Hightower observes their battle from nearby then leaves for the Smithsonian. Disguised as a cop, he questions archaeologist Charles Russell about an artifact he found in Nicaragua. Hightower steals the artifact and Russell’s field notes. Meanwhile, Void returns to Georgetown and, after tending to an injured Warblade, shows the WildC.A.T.s an image of the artifact. Zealot recognizes it as a Daemonite key. Watching the fight elsewhere, Defile recognizes the image as well and decides to abandon his scheme to pit Stormwatch against the WildC.A.T.s and instead pursue the key. Void teleports the WildC.A.T.s back to Halo only to find Hightower waiting for them.
