Synopsis for "Promised Land - Part 2"

The Wildcats face the Daemonites amidst the ruins of Los Angeles. Lord Defile has grown to massive size to match Maul while the rest of the Wildcats battle a Daemonite horde and a possessed Nemesis. Jodi finds a couple of survivors who didn't flee, a mother and her young son. She kills a couple of Damonites from attacking the mother and son. She then grabs one of Grifter's guns, hands it to the mother, and tells her to defend herself with.

Lady Decadence, who has possessed Nemesis, taunts Zealot. She thinks Zealot is holding back so as not to hurt Nemesis, but then Zealot gives her the ultimatum to release Nemesis or she'll kill them both. Surprisingly, Lady Decadence concedes and leaves Nemesis' body. But she challenges Zealot to continue their fight.

As Maul and Defile continue their battle, Warblade comes to Maul's aid. He tries to cut at Defile's Achilles tendon but finds it's ineffective. Defile then shoots lasers from his eyes and melts Warblade. Maul cries out in horror at his friend's apparent demise. Defile laughs as Maul kneels before the puddle of liquid metal that was once his friend. But as Defile prepares to strike, Maul rises with a giant sword in hand; a sword that is obviously Warblade. He then proceeds to stab Defile in the chest with Warblade's form. Lord Defile falls and Warblade prepares to finish him off. But Lady Decadence comes to Defile's side.

Both sides regroup and Defile threatens to use Daemonite magic on the Wildcats but Spartan counters his threat by telling him they've got Kheran technology on their side. But before the two sides can engage in battle once again, Voodoo appears and stops them. She tells the Wildcats that she's been communing with the spirits and they told her that Los Angeles has been transformed into a habitable place for the Daemonties. She reminds them all that she knows this because she is part Daemonite and she also knows they don't need living prey to survive, in which she proposes a treaty that allows both Daemonites and humans to coexist in peace. Defile sneers at her proposal and tells her the Daemonites outnumber them, therefore they have no reason to agree to a treaty. But Voodoo then uses her powers to awaken all the dead who had been thrown into the La Brea Tar Pits. With an undead army behind her, she asks Defile to reconsider. He agrees to the treaty and leaves. But the Wildcats are leery about the fact that the Daemonites gave in so easily, believing there may be something the Daemonites know that they don't.

Jodi gleefully returns to the mother and son to tell them they are safe and can return with them to the Halo building. But her heart is broken when she finds the mother dead. She thinks it was the Daemonites but Spartan tells her it was malnutrition that caused the woman's heart to give out. She takes the son into her arms.

Back at the Halo building, Jeremy and Reno congratulate each other on their shared victory against Defile. Spartan and Voodoo walk in and Voodoo tries to explain herself to Jeremy concerning her and Spartan. Jeremy tells her it's okay and agrees it's for the best. Reno suggests that they prepare for whatever the Daemonites are planning. Spartan agrees but tells them all that he no longer feels fit to lead, but he believes Voodoo is fit to replace him. Voodoo is extremely surprised at the offer but the others agree, based on her actions of late, that she would be perfect. Nemesis and Jodi arrive with their belongings in tow as the others ask what they think about Voodoo as leader. Nemesis tells them it doesn't matter because she and Jodi have decided to accept Majestic's offer to join him. The other Wildcats watch in shock as Nemesis and Jodi leave.
