Synopsis for "A Month in the Life"

Jack Marlowe becomes the topic of the world's attention as his products, most especially his everlasting Halo Batteries, are making a potential impact on the world. The U.S. government is suspicious of how Marlowe created his everlasting batteries and Congress is debating the merits and pitfalls of this new technology.

Dolby drives Garfield to his new firm of Harper & Brody. Dolby then arrives at Halo where he meets Cole Cash, who is crippled and confined in a wheelchair, and Agent Wax outside of Marlowe's office. Dolby notices Grifter's hidden sidearm and knows that there is something going on, almost believing that Halo is a "corrupt corporation". Marlowe arrives and informs Dolby that Cash and Wax are personal friends and have him reschedule for another meeting, in order to make his meeting with Wax and Grifter in discretion. He teleports themselves to Halo's laboratory to see Agent Orange put in a stasis container. Wax debriefs on Orange as being the product of FBI experimentation and was the only surviving test subject, chemically augmented with dioxin. Marlowe had chosen Orange in being reprogramed with a new homing chip to be under their control.

Meanwhile, Dolby phones Garfield of his encounter with Cole and Wax, and may believe some of Garfield's suspicions. But he is still unaware of Cole's complete agenda and confused of Wax's claim from the National Park Service. Out in Halo's hallways, Wax is making a phone call with Agent Downs but finds his call disrupted by static. He notices a door reading "Custodial Storage" and enters it to find the preserved remains of Ladytron.
