In the parallel reality known as Earth-AD, Wiley Quixote was an industrial baron and president of the International Communications and Commerce cartel.
History
He also served as Commander-in-Chief of the organization's military apparatus. In the years that preceded the coming of the Great Disaster, IC&C dominated the American industrial center and controlled everything west of the Mississippi River. Quixote's primary rivals was Verner Bros. Inc., who controlled the barony of the Eastern regions.
International Communications and Commerce and Verner Bros. Inc. were engaged in a civil war with one another, which also included six other industry cartels as well as the Global Peace Agency. Quixoite succeeded in recruiting the one man army corps OMAC into fighting on IC&C's behalf, but OMAC only did so because he felt that his involvement would make the war quick with minimal casualties. Quixote knew that OMAC did not hold any loyalty to IC&C, but he couldn't deny the fact that OMAC would tip the odds decidedly in his favor. Suspecting that OMAC would leave IC&C's employ once his own needs were met, Wiley prepared to make certain his departure would be "feet first".
