Overthrow is an enemy of Blue Beetle.

History

Wilfredo Beck is the son of the original Overthrow, Arnold Beck. Following a period when a number of scarabs had taken new hosts on Earth, and Blue Beetle was facing a new threat from Victoria Kord, Wilfredo burst onto the scene as the new Overthrow, still driven by revenge for indignities suffered by his father in combat with the previous Blue Beetle, Ted Kord.

Believing that Blue Beetle was working with Kord Industries, Wilfredo struck out at Victoria while she presented her greatest achievement, Pinnacle, to a large audience gathered at Kord Industries. Claiming to be on the side of humanity, Overthrow attempted to take down Pinnacle as a weapon of mass destruction. The 30-foot tall Pinnacle quickly dispatched Overthrow, leaving Wilfredo unconscious.
