Will Everett was the superhero Amazing Man. After gaining powers and longevity in a laboratory explosion, he became a member of the All-Star Squadron.

Origin and Early Career

A born athlete, Will Everett spent his high school years training to enter the 1936 Berlin Olympics. There, alongside Jesse Owens, Will proved prevailing racist attitudes wrong and won multiple awards and gold medals. However, upon his return home, he found himself unable to find steady employment, and ended up as a janitor at the labs of one Dr. Terry Curtis.

One night, the lab was attacked by minions of the Ultra-Humanite and Everett was taken hostage. He was forcibly subjected to the power of an electro-generator created by Doctor Curtis. During the experience, the generator exploded, imbuing him with the ability to temporarily take on the properties of any material he touched.

Afterwards, he briefly worked for the Ultra-Humanite, hoping that his cooperation would ensure that the seemingly inevitable victory of Ultra-Humanite did not include the destruction of his parents or their home city of Detroit. However, he quickly realized he'd been duped, and joined the All-Star Squadron in their fight against the villain. Afterwards, he continued to serve as a member for many years before retiring as anti-Vigilante groups gained power in Washington.[1]
