Synopsis for "Wonder Woman's Daring Deception!"

Tonia, an Amazon, creates a power pill that enables her to triumph over the other Amazons in ritual tests of strength and skill. As the winner, Tonia wishes to go to fight crime in Man's World like Wonder Woman. Queen Hyppolyta forbids Tonia's depart, but Wonder Woman convinces her otherwise. Tonia is allowed to go to Man's World, where she is bound to lose her mortality. Wonder Woman reaches an agreement with Tonia and tells her that if she can solve one of three cases that Wonder Woman would usually solve, she will be allowed to stay and fight crime in Man's World.

When they return to Man's World, Tonia's skills are immediately required, but she is unable to crack the cases and has to be rescued by Wonder Woman in every occasion. Unfortunately, during the last case, Tonia is apparently killed by an underwater depth charge and the Amazons dread the wrath of Aphrodite on Wonder Woman.

When Diana returns to Paradise Island, she informs the rest of the Amazons that Tonia was never in danger, since part of the agreement was that Tonia would use a robot clone of herself that she controlled remotely from Paradise Island. After watching the consequences of her desire, Tonia decides that it is best to remain in Paradise Island.
