Synopsis for "The Return From the Dead"

A throng of reports force their way into General Darnell's office at Intelligence Headquarters, having somehow made it past security. As he pushes them out one hides behind his desk, and starts rummaging through it once Darnell has left for a conference. Finding a note asking Diana Prince to get Wonder Woman to see Steve Trevor right away the reporter disappears and in his place is Wonder Woman revealing the snooping spy to be using the powers of Doctor Psycho or the Duke of Deception. The fake is able to attend the same conference as Darnell in his disguise as Wonder Woman, and manages to talk the associated military brass present to all have the non-lethal weapon being demonstrated used on them at once, allowing him to steal the weapon once they're all unconscious.

On his way out Wonder Woman crosses paths with her doppelganger and gives chase, but his quick shifting into different forms allows him to escape in the crowds at the public funeral of Lotsa Dough. Diana parts ways with Steve to have Steve search the attendees while she checks in with the warden of the prison where Dr. Psycho is being held. The warden claims Psycho was executed just that morning, but even as she reminds the warden that Psycho's last "death" was a prison escape a worker runs in yelling that Psycho's body in the morgue has dissipated, meaning it was one of his ectoplasmic fakes.
